Have you heard the buzz about Wantable yet? A few months ago I was able to review one of their makeup boxes in celebration of their launch in Canada. I was really impressed by the quality of items I received and I loved how in depth their beauty profile questionnaire was.
I had the chance to receive another box for review so of course I chose the makeup box again since I use almost all of the products in my first box on a regular basis. Just like my first box, I asked not to receive mascara, lip and brow products. I love knowing that I definitely will not receive products I know I won’t use. The September Wantable box was curated by Jordan Liberty, creator of Liberty Republic and Give Good Face.
In my September Wantable box, I received five full size items and a bonus sample:
LAQA & Co. nail polish in Ankle Biter ($11) & Nail Polish Remover Pads ($5.95) - I like this rose gold shade and it’s not a shade I have in my collection. I quickly applied it and it seems pretty opaque. For the pads, I like the packaging, but the pads were a bit dry when I checked them out. I haven’t used them yet but I can see having these in my desk at work or in my bag in case I need to remove my polish quickly. I like that they’re in a sturdy container so I could add more remover to the pads if needed.
Cailyn Cosmetics Linefix Gel Pencil in Blue ($17) - I have been using the gel liner from my first Wantable box almost daily and really like it. If this wasn’t blue I would probably use it just as much, but unfortunately blue doesn’t work for me.
Lise Watier Quator Eyeshadow Quartet in Champagne & Chocolate ($32) – This is a really pretty quad. The shadows have great pigmentation and are really soft. It’s also the first Lise Watier product I’ve received.
Brazen Cosmetics Loose Blush in Amorous ($19) – Admit it, you laughed when you saw Brazen! I am happy that this is full size because it’s nice to see the packaging, which I think is cute. I also really like the blush shade and can see myself using this a lot.
Lise Watier Ombre Souffle Supreme sample – I’ve played with these at Shopper’s and thought they were interesting. My sample includes Sunrise Peach and Vert Enchante.
Total value: $84.95
I was not as blown away with this Wantable box as I was with my first. Wantable offers a monthly subscription for $36, which you can skip a month if needed, or a one-time purchase for $40. For Canadians, the monthly subscription fee comes to around $49, which is pretty pricey. That price includes a $5 shipping, taxes, and a small duty fee which Wantable guarantees that you will not pay any additional duties when it lands on your doorstep. For Australian customers, there is a $9 shipping fee, while shipping is included in the price for American customers. I really can’t stress how much I love their customization. Even though I wasn’t completely blown away this month, it wouldn’t deter me from purchasing a box in the future since everything is full size and the boxes normally range from $80 – $100 in value.
Wantable offers a makeup, accessories and a new intimates box. They also have a limited edition Halloween makeup box. If you want to try a Wantable box, feel free to use my referral link.
